Questions Frequently Asked by Our Clients

Below we have listed some of the most frequently asked questions. If the information you are looking for is not here, you can take a look at our resources page. Alternatively, give us a call on 01386 339373 or email us at mail@paybureau.co.uk.

How will my business work with PayBureau?

It’s really simple. You let us know whether your pay run is monthly, four-weekly, fortnightly or weekly and we’ll set it all up. Let us know about new starters, any leavers or other changes and we’ll do the rest. If you talk to us in the morning, we’ll have dealt with the information by the afternoon!

Information summaries are emailed to you alongside PDF payslips. We no longer post any payslips and instead offer our clients for us to send e-payslips, password protected directly to their employees.

How do you make sure my staff get paid?

If you’re paying via BACS, we’ll create a link file for your online banking software which we securely email to you. If you use Telepay, Hexagon, Autopay or Payflow, we’ll send you the relevant lists for you to pass to your bank. If you pay staff manually, we’ll send you a detailed list of any payments you need to make by cheque, manual BACS or in cash.

Will you deal with HMRC?

Absolutely – if you’re already registered for PAYE and NI, we’ll give you a form that allows us to communicate on your behalf. If you’re not yet registered, we’ll sort that out for you. (And don’t worry – we’ll have absolutely no authority over your tax or NI affairs!). Then, each month we’ll tell you what you need to pay to HMRC, by when and with what references.

How do I know your payroll software is secure?

The specialised software we use has won two awards from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. We keep back-ups of key information away from our premises and where necessary, all documents are shredded.

Does PayBureau handle auto-enrolment for me?

When you take on a new member of staff, we’ll provide the letter you need to send them, as part of the payroll onboarding process. We’ll then add them to the pension scheme you have set up.
